Yeahhh, this was a long day pretty much. Past week and a half has been pretty rough. Last week a teacher at my school passed away due to a car accident involving a person texting while driving. For a lot of us, it felt like losing a mother, things got pretty emotional and a lot of us pretty much grew up. Just today was the memorial service and it was so sad that it was the first time I saw my brother cried since....ever.

Other than that, my father left for work. Things are..different without him around. I mean it's nice to not have my dad watching everything I do but at the same time, it kinda sucks not having that authorative guy in the house who makes sure that everything gets done right. He says he might not be able to be here by thanksgiving due to his work but I'm sceptical since he usually likes to surprise us.

As far as my art is concerned, I'm really focusing on learning on photography than my drawing. I still sketch but I really want to start learning photography since I find it extremely interesting and attractive. Learned a ton in the pass few weeks on what makes a great photo (for starters, turn off the automatic mode and avoid straight on flash). I just kinda cringe every time I see those guys from yearbook with their DSLR's and they're taking pictures with automatic mode with the onboard flash, it's kinda like watching a guy use an exotic sports car to just go to the grocery store. Currently looking at adorama.com for good deals on cameras (decided that I'm gonna stick with a budget camera and a 50mm f 1.8 lens with filters)

For some reason, I'm currently having a sudden interest in research of things like astronomy, volcanoes, and the weather. In particular, I'm pondering if whether or not the 1993 super blizzard/dericho is related to the 1991 mount Pinatubo eruption. It is certain that eruptions can cool the earth down (as evident in the 1815 eruption of Tambora which created 'the year without summer' in 1816) but i wanna just know if these two events are related to eachother. Also found out that there's a theoretical star called Nemesis. Doesn't hurts to be a little scientist once in a while =]
